The Overwatch World Cup contest returns for 2018 and qualifying games for the annual worldwide tournament start now.
Blizzard Entertainment announced today it will begin tracking the ability rating (SR) of each country's top 150 players through the end of season nine of aggressive play, which runs till April 28. In the conclusion of Overwatch's current competitive year, the top 20 countries will be invited to take part in this 2018 Overwatch World Cup. Four states -- France, South Korea, Thailand and the United States -- will automatically qualify for and serve as hosts for the Group Stage Part of the World Cup.
